Oceanic Minecraft Palettes
Deep blues, prismarine greens, and aquatic textures for underwater builds.
Building with Oceanic Palettes
Oceanic builds demand a palette that captures the shifting blues and greens of deep water. Prismarine blocks are the natural foundation - their subtle color variation between dark prismarine, regular prismarine, and prismarine bricks gives underwater structures an organic, coral-encrusted appearance. Dark prismarine works especially well for floors and structural walls.
Beyond prismarine, the ocean palette extends to cyan and blue concrete for bold modern underwater bases, lapis blocks for deep-sea accent walls, and blue ice for frozen aquatic themes. Light blue wool and cyan terracotta provide softer alternatives that work well for interior decoration of underwater builds.
The most compelling ocean palettes incorporate sandy and warm tones as contrast - sand blocks, sandstone, and sponge break up the blue monotony and suggest sun-dappled shallows or ancient sunken ruins. This warm-cool interplay is what separates a flat blue box from a believable underwater environment.
